動物病院の先生は、ニャーニャちゃんに
生の牛肉を食べさせなさいとおっしゃった。
ひと口ごとに「ありがとう、ありがとう」と
言うように、ニャーニャちゃんはちぎった牛肉を食べた。
もう何日も、何も食べていなかったのだと思う。
「よかった、言い始めた」
タオルに包まれ安心したニャーニャちゃんが、
コロコロコロ…と小さく喉を鳴らし始めたのを覚えている。
こうしてにゃーちゃんの第二の人生が始まったのだった。
「かわいいかわいいよしよし」「ガーン」
母がニャーニャちゃん抱き上げるのを見て、
3歳だった私はウワーンと泣いて、周囲は大笑い。
